Important Notice for Ticket Purchase of Passengers

1. Passengers shall confirm the departure and return dates, as well as flight time when purchasing tickets on site, via phone or online.

2. Before purchasing tickets, acquire relevant regulations of airline companies and ticket purchase platforms as specific as possible, including carry-on baggage and checked baggage restriction, excess baggage fee, mileage point usage rule, refund and alteration restriction, change restriction, upgrade restriction, ticket criteria for adults, children and infants, etc.

3. Before purchasing tickets, confirm travel time within the validity period of identity certificates such as ID card, passport and visa when purchasing tickets.

4. When purchasing tickets, confirm the name provided is the same as the spelling on passport or ID card, and if there are children or infants, promptly inform the date of birth.

5. After completing ticket purchase, if conditions permit, make seat reservation online or via airline phone in advance.

6. Before departing for the airport, know the check-in deadline and boarding deadline in the airport, leave adequate time on the road, and carry valid identity certificates used in ticket purchase.

The airport supports on-site self-check-in. It is suggested to pay attention to the Wechat Public Number of Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport in advance for on-line check-in.

Several Ways of Checking in

1. Self-check-in machine

Passengers traveling on domestic outbound flights without checked baggage can check in through the airport self-check-in system (get boarding pass). The processing time of the self-check-in system is 5 hours before the departure time of the flight, and the processing deadline is 50 minutes before the departure time of the flight. If the boarding number has not been displayed at the time of processing, you can inquire through the flight display system in the terminal hall.

2. Open check-in

Open check-in means that the check-in counter can handle the check-in procedures for any flight of the airline on that day. The processing start time is 120 minutes before the flight take-off time, and the processing deadline is 45 minutes before the flight take-off time.

3. Self-service Luggage Checking

Passengers departing from domestic flights of Air China, Xiamen Airlines, Eastern Airlines, Haihang and Southern Airlines can check their baggage through self-service baggage consignment equipment in the corresponding check-in area. The self-service baggage check-in system starts three hours before the flight take-off time and closes 50 minutes before the flight take-off time.

Limitations on carry-on baggage:

According to the requirements of different airlines, it may be different. For more information, please log on the official website of each airline.

Take domestic flights: The total weight of passengers'hand luggage should not exceed 5 kilograms, and the volume of each piece of luggage should not exceed 20 *40 *55 centimeters (depending on the requirements of airlines, it may be different). There are baggage baskets for passengers to test the size of hand baggage at the security inspection site and at the check-in counter. If passengers'baggage can be put into the standard baskets, the baggage can be carried with them, otherwise it needs to be checked.

Relevant provisions on checked baggage: 

Free baggage for domestic flights: 40 kg for first class passengers holding adult or child tickets, 30 kg for business class passengers and 20 kg for economy class passengers. There is no free baggage allowance for passengers with baby tickets. Passengers are required to pay excess baggage charges when they exceed the prescribed limit.

The above restrictions are general provisions. There are differences in standards among airlines. Please pay attention to the ticket purchase instructions or consult the corresponding airlines.

Security check:

Please prepare boarding passes, tickets and valid identity documents in advance and submit them to the security inspector for inspection.

May not. Sharp and blunt tools other than those used to control cutting tools should not be carried with you, but must be consigned.

What are liquids, gels and spray products? 

Liquids, gelatin and spray products include:

Drinks, such as mineral water, beverages, soups and syrups;

Cream, lotion, skin care oil, perfume and cosmetics;

Spray and compression containers, such as shaving foam and fragrance spray.

Paste items, such as toothpaste;

Contact lens solution;

Gel, such as hair styling and gel products for bathing.

Any solution or article of similar consistency.

What are the requirements for domestic flights?

In order to safeguard the safety of passengers'lives and property, the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China prohibits passengers from carrying lighters and matches on board civil aviation aircraft. Guidelines for passengers to take liquid goods with them on domestic flights:

1. Passengers traveling on domestic flights are prohibited from carrying liquid articles with them, but they can be transported and packaged in accordance with the relevant provisions of civil aviation transportation.

2. Passengers should carry a small amount of travel cosmetics for their own use. Each kind of cosmetics should be limited to one piece. Its container volume should not exceed 100 ml, and should be placed in an independent bag for bottle opening inspection.

3. Passengers from overseas who need to transfer to domestic flights at airports in China should put their duty-free liquid goods into transparent plastic bags with intact and sealed bags, and show their shopping vouchers, which can be carried only after security checks confirm.

4. Passengers accompanied by infants can apply to the airline when purchasing tickets, and the airline will provide free liquid dairy products on board; diabetics or other patients with necessary liquid medicines will be handed over to the aircrew for safekeeping after being confirmed by safety inspection.

5. Passengers who violate the above-mentioned provisions and cause missed flights and other consequences shall bear their own responsibility.

On domestic flights, can you bring water / drinks / food with liquids and pass airport security checks?
On domestic flights, such items must be stored in containers with a capacity not exceeding 100 ml, and the excess parts should be delivered. In the control area, there is free drinking water for passengers, and water or other drinks can also be purchased in stores. Airlines also provide drinking water on planes.

How should we prepare to speed up the safety inspection process? 
When you go to the airport, please reserve time for security checks. Goods not used on aircraft are checked in checked baggage as far as possible.

What drugs can be exempted?
Liquid medicines can be safely inspected in containers with a capacity of not more than 100 ml. Drugs should be handed over separately to security personnel for X-ray examination.

If passengers are diabetic, what about drug restrictions?
Passengers with diabetes mellitus can carry enough insulin preparations and hypodermic syringes with needles for use on airplanes, subject to medical certification.

Do liquids have to be filled in original containers? 
No As long as the container's capacity does not exceed 100 milliliters, it can be used for carrying liquids, gelatin and spray products. If the capacity of liquid container exceeds 100 ml, it should not be placed in hand luggage, but in checked luggage.

Do transparent containers need to be used?
No

Can I bring contact lens solution?
Contact lens potions must be loaded in containers with a capacity not exceeding 100 ml. Containers with excessive capacity must be consigned.

Can I bring lipstick and fragrance agent to boarding? 
Yes.Passengers can carry any solid cosmetics on board, so lipstick and aromatic paste are also acceptable. Passengers can also carry fragrant body cream, pearl flavor agent and lip gloss, but the capacity of containers should not exceed 100 milliliters. Containers with excessive capacity must be consigned.

Are toothpaste and shaving foam liquid, gel and spray products? 
Yes. The container capacity of these articles shall not exceed 100 ml. Containers with excessive capacity must be consigned. 

If liquid, gel and spray items and containers fail to pass safety check, how will they be disposed of?

These items and containers can only be discarded if they do not meet the safety inspection requirements. Therefore, passengers should place liquids, gelatin and spray products in checked baggage so as to pass the safety inspection smoothly.

Can domestic outbound passengers take outbound flights with their purchases of liquids after security checks?

Yes. Passengers can buy liquids from stores in the airport control area and take them on departure flights after security checks. For passengers who need to transfer flights abroad or abroad, they should ensure that the plastic bags are obviously intact and intact during the journey. They are not allowed to be unpacked by themselves, and their boarding passes and purchase certificates for liquid goods are retained. Can you bring your pet on the computer? 

May not. Pets are not allowed to be carried with them, but they can be consigned with the consent of the airline.

Can fresh things like hairy crabs be brought on board? 

May not. Fresh goods can not be carried with you, they must be consigned.

Can I take lithium batteries with me? 

All kinds of electronic equipments equipped with lithium batteries can be carried or shipped with them. The spare lithium batteries shall not be consigned. They must be carried with them and insulated properly. Lithium batteries with lithium metal content less than 2G or rated energy less than 100Wh can be carried or shipped in electronic equipment. Lithium batteries with rated energy of less than 100-160Wh can only be shipped with the airline's written consent, with a limit of 2 pieces per person. Lithium batteries with rated energy above 160Wh are not allowed to be transported.
