Important Notice for Ticket Purchase of Passengers


1. Passengers shall confirm the departure and return dates, as well as flight time when purchasing tickets on site, via phone or online.

2. Before purchasing tickets, acquire relevant regulations of airline companies and ticket purchase platforms as specific as possible, including carry-on baggage and checked baggage restriction, excess baggage fee, mileage point usage rule, refund and alteration restriction, change restriction, upgrade restriction, ticket criteria for adults, children and infants, etc.

3. Before purchasing tickets, confirm travel time within the validity period of identity certificates such as ID card, passport and visa when purchasing tickets.

4. When purchasing tickets, confirm the name provided is the same as the spelling on passport or ID card, and if there are children or infants, promptly inform the date of birth.

5. After completing ticket purchase, if conditions permit, make seat reservation online or via airline phone in advance.

6. Before departing for the airport, know the check-in deadline and boarding deadline in the airport, leave adequate time on the road, and carry valid identity certificates used in ticket purchase.


Check-in:

Please go to the corresponding check-in counter with  your ticket and valid travel documents to check in, or go to the corresponding airlines’ self check-in kiosk to get your boarding pass.

 

Tips:

Please find your boarding gate on your boarding pass, pass through customs inspection and immigration inspection within the specified time, and arrive at your boarding gate for boarding.

 

The check-in closing time of international and regional flights is usually 50 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Should there be any changes, the regulations of the carrier airline shall prevail.


Please carry your passport, visa, and other travel documents, as well as cash, bills, and other valuables with you.

Customs Check:

Customs inspection

Passengers carrying articles prohibited or restricted going abroad by the country and articles required to be declared by the customs shall fill in the Application Form for Outward Articles for Customs Outbound Passengers of the People’s Republic of China, and go through the customs from the red channel, while the rest of passengers shall go through the customs directly from the green channel. 


Regulations on the inspection and release of exit customs: 


1. Passengers carrying cameras, pickup cameras, laptops and other self-use items for entry with unit price exceeding RMB 5,000 shall abide by current relevant regulations for handling by the customs.

2. Passengers carrying more than RMB 20,000 in cash or foreign currency cash equivalent to USD 5,000 shall abide by current relevant regulations for handling by the customs. 

3. Passengers carrying precious metals such as gold and silver shall abide by current relevant regulations for handling by the customs. 

4. Passengers carrying cultural relics, endangered animals and plants, and corresponding products and biological species resources shall abide by current relevant regulations for handling by the customs.

5. Passengers carrying radio transceiver and communication security equipment shall abide by current relevant regulations for handling by the customs.

6. Passengers carrying articles that are restricted or prohibited going abroad by the people’s Republic of China shall abide by current relevant regulations for handling by the customs.

7. Passengers carrying goods, sample goods and advertisements shall abide by current relevant regulations for handling by the customs.


Infectious disease surveillance


To check Certificate of Health. Chinese citizens who have applied for going abroad for more than one year shall, at the time of going abroad, take the initiative to present to the port inspection and quarantine officials valid health examination certificates containing HIV test results issued by inspection and quarantine institutions or hospitals at or above the county level. For those who do not have valid Certificate of Health, they will be suggested to apply for such certificate to the nearest entry-exit inspection and quarantine institution before going abroad.

To check certificate of vaccination. For Chinese tourists who intend to go to yellow fever epidemic area, they are required to show the certificate of vaccination of yellow fever. For those who do not hold valid certificate of vaccination of yellow fever, they are required to make up. According to the principle of voluntariness, prevention injection or chemoprophylaxis shall be provided for passengers who will travel to cholera epidemic areas.

Body temperature examination, medical observation, health inquiry and health consultation. All passengers going abroad are required to have body temperature examination and medical observation, those infected or epidemic suspected will be prevented from going abroad, and carried out with epidemiological investigation, medical examination, laboratory test or isolation treatment; Visitors to epidemic areas will be provided with anti-disease drugs; those going abroad will be provided with health consultation, health kit and travel health information; and AIDS patients, HIV infected or other infectious disease patients will be monitored for going abroad.

Quarantine inspection of articles carried

Generally, quarantine articles carried by passengers going abroad shall be subject to quarantine inspection by entry-exit inspection and quarantine institution according to quarantine requirements of importing countries or bilateral agreements as required by passengers.

Passengers carrying companion animals going abroad shall apply to the entry-exit inspection and quarantine institution for inspection in advance, and shall provide rabies vaccination certificate when applying for inspection. The entry exit inspection and quarantine institution shall carry out quarantine inspection on the declared companion animals according to the requirements of the importing country, and will issue Animal Health Certificate for those qualified in quarantine inspection for going abroad.


Frontier inspection:

Foreign tourists must hold valid passport documents and get Chinese entry visa;

When entering the country, Chinese tourists (including Hong Kong and Macao tourists) shall provide valid passport documents, and Taiwan residents shall provide mainland pass and valid endorsement.

If you are a foreign passenger, please submit your valid passport, visa, exit registration card and boarding pass for inspection, and go abroad within the period specified in the valid entry visa.


Security check:

In order to ensure flight safety, passengers must pass through the detection door and their belongings must be checked by X-ray machine. Thank you for your cooperation.

What articles are neither allowed to carry on nor check-in?

Guns and ammunition, controlled knives, police equipment, inflammables and explosives (such as lighter gas, alcohol, paint, fireworks and firecrackers), corrosive substances, highly toxic substances, lighters, matches and other dangerous articles.

Is fruit knife allowed to carry on??

No. Sharp and blunt tools other than controlled knives are not allowed to be carried with you and must be checked in.

What do liquids, gels and sprays refer to?

Liquids, gels and sprays include: drinks, such as mineral water, beverages, soup and syrup; cream, lotion, skin care oil, perfume and cosmetics; spray and compression containers, such as shaving foam and fragrance spray; paste items, such as toothpaste; contact lens solution; gels, such as hair styling and bath gel products; any solution and substances with similar consistency.

What are the requirements for international flights?

In order to maintain the safety of passengers’ lives and properties, the CAAC prohibits passengers from taking lighters and matches with them on civil aviation aircraft. The relevant measures for passengers carrying liquid articles on domestic flights have been adjusted as follows: 

Passengers on international and regional flights starting from airports in China are allowed to carry no more than 100 ml of liquid articles. Containers for liquid articles shall be placed in transparent plastic bags with a maximum volume no more than 1 L and can be resealed. Each passenger is allowed to carry only one transparent plastic bag at a time, and the excess part shall be checked in.

Transparent plastic bags containing liquid articles shall be subject to security check separately.

For oversea passengers who need to transfer to domestic flights at airports in China, the duty-free liquid articles they bring into China shall be placed in a transparent plastic bag that is intact and sealed, and the shopping voucher shall be presented, such liquid articles can only be carried after security check.

Passengers with infants can carry liquid dairy products, patients with diabetes or other diseases may carry necessary liquid medicines provided that these liquid medicines pass security check.

Can passengers take water / drinks / food with liquid on international flights to pass the airport security check?

For passengers on international and regional flights starting from airports in China, such articles must be contained in containers with a capacity no more than 100 ml and placed in transparent plastic bags that can be resealed with a maximum volume of not more than 1 L. Each passenger is allowed to carry only one transparent plastic bag at a time, and the excess part shall be checked in. Transparent plastic bags containing liquid articles shall be subject to security check separately. 

In the control area, free drinking water is available for passengers, and water or other drinks can also be purchased in shops. Airlines also provide drinking water on board. 

How to prepare to speed up the security check?

When passengers go to the airport, please reserve time for security check. Articles that are not used on the aircraft should be checked in the checked luggage as much as possible.

What drugs can be exempt?

The liquid medicine can pass the security check if it is contained in containers with a capacity no more than 100 ml. The medicine can be handed over to security personnel for X-ray examination. 

As the liquid medicine carried is a medicine already prepared purchased in the pharmacy, and there is no doctor’s prescription. Can these drugs pass security check?

If the liquid medicine is contained in a container with a capacity no more than 100 ml, it can pass the security check.

How is the drug restriction for passengers suffering from diabetes?

If the passenger has diabetes, he / she can take enough insulin preparation and hypodermic syringe with needle to use on the aircraft, but is required to show medical certificate.

How much milk / juice / food for infants can passengers carry to pass the security check?

Passengers can carry milk / juice / food for infants in containers with a capacity no more

 than 100ml. If the capacity of the container is more than 100 ml, it should be handed over to the security personnel for check together with the babies. 

In order to avoid any inconvenience during the security check, the milk / juice / food for infants carried by passengers shall be put in the checked luggage if it is not necessary to eat on the aircraft. 

Do liquids have to be contained in its original container?

Not necessary. As long as the container’s capacity does not exceed 100 ml, it can be used for carrying liquids, gels and sprays.

If the capacity of the liquid container exceeds 100 ml, it shall not be put in carry-on luggage, but in the checked luggage.

Is transparent container necessary to be used?

No.

Can passengers carry contact lens solution?

Contact lens solution must be contained in a container with a capacity no more than 100 ml. Containers with too much capacity must be checked in. 

Can passengers bring lipstick and deodorants to board?

Yes. Passengers can carry any solid cosmetics on board, so lipstick and deodorants are also acceptable. Passengers can also carry body lotions, roll-on anti-perspirant deodorants and lip gloss, but the capacity of containers should not exceed 100 ml. Containers with too much capacity must be checked in.

Do toothpaste and shaving foam belong to liquids, gels and sprays?

Yes. The container capacity of these articles shall not exceed 100 ml. Containers with too much capacity must be checked in.

How will liquids, gels and sprays be disposed of if they fail to pass security check?

If they do not meet the security check requirements, these articles and containers can only be discarded.

Therefore, passengers are suggested to place liquids, gels and sprays in checked luggage so as to pass the security check smoothly.

Can passengers for international departure bring the liquid articles purchased after security check to the departure flight they will take?

Yes. After security check, passengers can buy liquid duty-free products in the stores in the airport control area and bring them to the departure flight. Passengers needing to transfer abroad or overseas shall ensure that the plastic bags are obviously intact during the travel, and will not open the bags by themselves. And, boarding pass and purchase certificate of liquid goods shall be kept well for check by relevant personnel at the transfer airport. Passengers can inquire the airline in advance about the rules of carrying relevant liquids.

Can passengers bring lithium batteries for boarding?

All kinds of electronic equipment with lithium battery can be carried on or checked in. Spare lithium batteries are not allowed to be checked in but must be carried on with insulation measures taken. Lithium batteries with lithium metal content less than 2g or rated energy less than 100Wh can be carried on or checked in electronic equipment. Lithium batteries with rated energy within 100-160Wh can only be transported with the written consent of the airline, with a limit of 2 pieces per passenger. It is forbidden to transport lithium battery with rated energy of more than 160Wh.

Calculation method of rated energy of lithium battery: rated energy (Wh) = rated voltage (V) × rated quantity of electricity (Ah)

After security check, passengers can go to corresponding waiting areas according to the boarding gate number on the boarding pass.

Generally, boarding will start about 40 minutes before the flight departure, please pay attention to the broadcast prompt. Passengers need to show boarding pass when boarding (some airlines may require passengers to show passport at the boarding gate), please prepare in advance.
